See who blinks first

This is Jacob, my cat, eyeballing one of the hens from the safety of my lap. He was not quite sure what to make of them when they arrived. They have feathers but he can't chase them because they don't run or fly away like normal prey.

He showed his displeasure to me by peeing in one of my favorite handbags! The contents are still in the scullery waiting for the smell to fade and anyone who knows about cat pee knows that that will take months! He is used to them now, but still eyes them with an amount of suspicion as the photo shows.

Unfortunately the handbag is in the bin.
