Seek and you shall find

After a swift tour of E's potential nursery school, lunch and a not so swift visit from the Health Visitor, the search for conkers was on. We had great friends by our side to lead us to a virtually untapped resource and we gathered handfuls of shiny chestnuts. The light was low and golden and it was cold enough to feel that we'd really earned our chocolate brownie and tea afterwards. All three children and the ever patient Henny played wonderfully together as we indulged in the rare activities of sitting still and chatting almost without interruption. Then, as the light faded, we dashed back through the rain for tea.
