Underneath the Arches
Great days diving today. Deep down to 32 m , saw a 'butterfly Ray' which is apparently an unusual one. Then spent the rest of the dive gradually ascending. Saw a huge shoal of 'Roncodores' , hundreds of white fish with yellow fins. I can never resist swimming through them. After a while you get to the first of three underwater arches , naturally formed during the more active times of the Mt Teide Volcano. The picture is taken as we go through the first arch, they become increasingly narrower and smaller .
The fish in Tenerife are so friendly , they follow you on the dive. There were a shoal of zebra bream with us for most of this dive. I'm afraid I have had to stop eating fish after this weeks diving. Strictly 'farmarian' - will eat anything farmed!
After the dive back to the usual restaurant for lunch and then back to Steps for our second dive of the day.
