Indian summer in London

Not going to see this sight - the clock tower of the Houses of Parliament basking in warm sunshine at 5:20pm - again for some time. Taken while waiting for the bus on our commute home. My eye was drawn to the gargoyles so I went in close.

London has enjoyed an Indian summer - why is a warm autumn called that? it's nothing like summer in India! - but with the clocks going back, and the arrival of cooler weather it's definitely autumn now. I've now seen Christmas lights and decorations, and not in shops which are selling them either - it'll soon be winter!
