National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh
We managed to get out of the cottage early and travelled to Edinburgh.
Walked around the centre of the city, taking in the sights. We stopped at an Italian restaurant for lunch, when it started to rain.
On a recommendation, we strolled around the National Museum of Scotland for an hour or so. The building was impressive - a mixture of old architecture fused with new. It reminded me a little of the Amsterdam Museum.
Traffic in Edinburgh going home was pretty horrendous as Hibs were playing Hearts at Easter Road.
