I drove to Extension, a former coal mining hamlet near the city of Nanaimo. Secondly, I went to the Nanaimo River park where I watched the salmon swim upstream. And finally I went in search of Christie Falls behind the town of Ladysmith. I did not find the waterfalls. Maybe sometime this weekend now that I know which road to walk.

Today's photograph was taken while searching for the waterfall. I came upon a beaver dam and pond.
