In Defence Of Colour

I wonder why, as soon as autumn looms, our clothes shops are filled with drab, dark colours? Surely the short, dark days call for us to be bright and colourful?

I walked through Marks & Spencers today and found it so gloomy. Almost all the clothes were black or very dark! Personally, I like bright light colours all year.

This blip of a complete stranger was grabbed in a cafe in Northampton today. I had just come out of M&S and this young woman was a beacon of colour and life. Fortunately she didn't notice my covert operation - I rarely risk doing this!
