Crotal Bell

This Crotal Bell is by Robert Wells of Aldbourne, Wiltshire and cast about 1780, it is probably around the largest size of the crotal bells to be cast but sadly this one has been caught by a plough but the rumbler is still inside and it makes a great noise.

This is day one of a wee challenge I have set myself which is to take my November blips with my D5100 and it's 35mm prime lens. The 35mm is the digital equivalent of the 50mm lens that I started with many moons ago attached to a Olympus OM10! I usually keep my 18-200mm lens attached to the Nikon which is so versatile so we'll see how this goes!
