Tower of London - Blood Swept Lands and Sea of Red
I don't think this need any introduction! A fantastic project and a fabulous cause.
We had a thought earlier in the week that we would like to see the Poppies at the Tower but I didn't think I could cope with a day in London with train and tube travel at the moment and we thought the poppies would be there for quite some time! Having found out they are going on Remembrance Day we decided to drive up!
Matthew works and drives in London a great deal so he knows his way round and he knew somewhere we could park but we would need to be there early, so we left home about 5.30am and got there just as it was getting light. It was fabulous, there were a few folk there already but it couldn't be called a crowd! We walked all round the tower and onto Tower Bridge where we saw the sun rise. I took loads of photos and it's been difficult to choose just one! We left London just before 8am and home for Bacon Sarnies and a cuppa.....a great start to the day!
6.30pm now.........am I going to be able to stay awake for Strictly??
