Nestled
The wind howled for much of the night but the morning brought bright sunshine, although a cold wind lingered. Whilst out gardening I spotted this old nest in the hedge, now filled with crisp autumn leaves rather than fluffy chicks. A robin came to keep us company as we gardened. Fluffed up in a little ball it sat and slept with its head under its wing in one of the piles of leaves I had just raked.
