Loretto Chapel

Mr Flum and I spent this gorgeous afternoon and evening at Loretto School Choral Society's Bring and Sing, once again in aid of the Teapot Trust. We were greeted with tea and cakes and, after rehearsal, a delicious dinner.

The evening's entertainment opened with Mozart's Ave Verum sung by the choir, then Special guests Octavoce sang a range of pieces, some technically quite difficult. We concluded with Fauré's Requiem, with excellent baritones and treble soloists.

It was a most enjoyable occasion, meeting new singers from different backgrounds, even discovering other members of the Clic Sargent Hospitals choir. I took this photo of the stained glass in the chapel as we were leaving under a starlit sky.
