Concertising
Our friends Marilyn and Nick gave a recital in Bristol this afternoon, and we went over to support them. They ended up with a duet, which I think came from Spamalot, "The Song That Goes Like This". You can see how it affected the focus on my camera!.
Then we ate scones and drank tea and went back to Abergavenny to hear Llyr Williams playing Beethoven Sonatas. He illuminates familiar music in an extraordinary way. I find it is as though I'm hearing it for the first time, as though the sun has broken through the clouds, and the music is new and vibrant and shocking.
Then we went back home for a late omelette and a glass of wine! And Camus' The Outsider on the radio. Quite a cultured day!
So how does Schloss Neuschwanstein feature in such a day? Time will tell...
