Weigh Day...

Eva has been waking around the 1.30am mark quite a bit lately, but omg, it took til 3.15 am to get her settled back down asleep early hours this morning. I tried feeding her, winding her, cuddles, nappy change, teething powder, stroking her face, feeding her some more, Mike was up trying... Every time I lay her back down she'd start crying again. At one point she was just lying there chatting to her hands in the dark, which I could ignore, but that soon turned into tears again. She did eventually go back off nearly 2 hours later,then slept til 8am. Also, at nap time today, she usually has around 2 hours, but lately this has shortened too. Today she was awake and crying after just half an hour, but she must have been shattered. I worked it out. I think she had 9 hours sleep from when she woke up yesterday nap time to bedtime tonight. Surely not enough for a 9 month old???

Anyway.... I took babba girl off to be weighed today. I have tried to take her religiously every 4 weeks to get an equal line on her graph, but with the threatened storm and her cold last week, I kept her in the warm and took her today instead, on her 38 week birthday... She was 21lb 7oz five weeks ago, today she weighs exactly 22lb, so her weight growth dipped slightly on the centile, but I think she can afford for it to slow down, my little chunk :-). Saw one of the moms from antenatal in there today, who had a little boy 3 days after Eva was born. She's 6 months pregnant again, so is due 2 weeks after her son's 1st birthday. I told her I would love it if I was pregnant again and that I think it's wonderful :-) oh I love being a mom!

Eva had stir fry for tea! It was very cute seeing her try to suck up the egg noodles, awwww. I'd done her stir fry before, but she wasn't actually eating back then, so she had her first proper taste of noodles, peppers, onion and mushroom. I even sprinkled a couple of chilli flakes on her chicken as it was cooking and she seemed to like it.

Eva and Jake adore each other. Today's pic shows her on his lap just before he went out with his mom to his Nan's. He was making funny noises and she found it hilarious. There were potentially some better pics, but they were too blurred to use, so this was the least blurred one.

Mike bathed her and got her ready for bed tonight and apart from waking up briefly with wind and for top up milk, as usual around 8.15pm, Eva was fast asleep in bed by just after 8.30pm. It's nearly 10pm as I type this and touch wood, she's spark out. Babba girl must be absolutely shattered xxx

Added....literally 2 minutes after finishing this post, Eva woke up..... hmmmmmmm lol x
