Indian In The Cupboard

I bought this cupboard in an antique shop for Sumner for about her 8th birthday with the hopes that it had some magical powers. I bought it after we watched a movie (repeatedly) called Indian In The Cupboard. The movie is about a 9 year old boy who receives a cabinet that is similar and he finds that the toy figurines he puts in the cupboard come to life. Sumner's never did. The wonderment and fantasy was magical though and a secret he kept to himself. Only the innocence of a child could believe in something like this. It has a nicely polished surface and beveled glass on three sides. She used it until her tastes in furnishings changed (about high school) when she became more fond of chrome and glass. I have always loved it anyway, so it still has a prominent place in our dining room.
