Startled

I think this poor pheasant was a tad surprised to see my head poke round the corner of the house as he gobbled up the discarded bird seed under the feeder. I had to snap him quick and retreat back into the kitchen to let him continue his meal. This is the first pheasant that has visited the garden this year but I suspect he's just the first of many if previous years are anything to go by :-)
