two seasons

Driving home on Sunday I noticed there was a sprinkling of snow of the tops of the fells. Decided that the white stuff would mark the end of Autumn blips for me.  But.....

This afternoon the boiler service man was coming which meant that the front door would be left open for the duration and there would be no heating. Instead of sitting inside freezing I opted for a walk in the woods.  

Blip sorted  when I spotted these leaves on top of a mossy tree stump and growing behind them a tiny holly plant. Autumn and winter together on one blip :)
