Stand and Deliver
Birthday number two was yesterday, so we had a lovely breakfast and present-presenting, which went well. Then the couples went out for a Day Of Fun, so I hopped on a bus to meet Daniel, who was waiting with the boys... Nando's for dinner (apparently their (rather mediocre) veggie burger isn't the only thing available to us vegetables, actually!), Ben's for a quick glass of port (oh dear), and then Katsenjammer, a beer hall in London bridge. Second time in two days! Great company, great atmosphere, great music, great beer. Or at least, much beer. Enjoyable despite its presence on my clothes.
Then, today, saw the Germans off via King's Cross after a walk around Ally Pally in the morning (good spot for picture-taking, dad tested out my optical zoom by capturing the ArcelorMittal Orbit, in Stratford from all the way in Muswell Hill. Check Google Maps if you're not sure how impressed you should be. But I went with this picture, as let's face it, zoomy isn't always crisp-y!
Even saw Mary Wollestonecraft's and William Godwin's graves on our day of walking, but they're sadly not very well-tended at all! Wonder what'll happen with that...
P.S., I discovered this amazing song on All Hallow's Eve, thanks to Gossip Girl. I know it's a cover, but I like it! Gwen's amazing.
