And the way you shine like truth in all you do

Beautiful song.

Another London pic, I'm afraid. But this time not such a nice one. It's always when I'm having fun that I forget to take the pictures I'd enjoy looking at the most! One of life's bitter ironies. OK, not so bitter. At least I'm having fun!

Sam came to meet me after my driving lesson and CV-run in a fresh bout of runs. OH, speaking of which, LAST NIGHT I went to a kettlebell lesson in the gym and nearly died. I came out of it feeling like I had to either throw up or pass out, just wondering which would come first. My body was broken. But even within that first shaky hour I felt the blood start pumping to my vital organs again and that elated, calm, endorphiney feeling one can only get after breaking one's body down. Thanks to Tom the personal trainer who twisted my rubber arm into joining that session! Collapsed into bed after forcing some food down my throat to aid recovery, and slept from about 8 til 8. Unbelievable. Was still a bit shaky today, I think! Plus my abs and upper back and hamstrings are aching that wonderful ache.

Anyway, so Sam met me and we took the bus into town, and hopped London boroughs all day. First to Bosphorous in South Kensington which, much like Toby Carvery and Milton Keynes for me, is a place synonymous with London for Sam. Can't visit one without the other. Yummy and authentic.

NEXT! Ice cream (naughty!) while laughing non-stop at nothing, as Sam always makes me do (think we were both a little giddy).

NEXT! Tube, commenting all the way on the sounds of the trains of course, and being too lazy for stairs and escalators (although my feet still hurt from walking so much by the end of the day!)... to London Bridge! My my, that place is becoming a frequent favourite for me. Wandered up and down the same road three times (sorry Sam) til we found Borough Market, which we ventured to in hopes of finding mulled wine but instead found it to be much less lively on a week day, and also found some baked-goods-samples and some 'spicy cider', which we sampled instead. Made me sweat, oo er! And we also found some sourviners. Ha!

NEXT! Back underground to Leicester Square. Covent Gardens, this time actually for some mulled wine and a lovely quartet and the smell of coal engines chestnuts.

NEXT! All over the bloody west end, but more importantly... a ride on a new Routemaster. I can't remember being this excited in a while! Was grinning through all the three stops we took it for!

NEXT! Then had to get off and back down the Strand, hop on another bus, and eventually make it to Francesca's work. Had a lovely dinner at Byron, milkshake and all. Like Sam and I said, today we did so much, and yet achieved so little... wonderful company though, and that's all that counts.

Finally... please listen to this. I adore it. It means so much, maybe to you too?
