Lunch out by the water
Son D. has been home for a few days and I did have a beach shot from earlier this morning lined up for Blip but when we saw a $6 lunch sign out at a seafood restaurant near the beach we decided to give it a go. It's a really lovely but unusual old place that has been there forever, rather retro and the decor and menus never change much. The lady that runs it is the daughter of the guy that started it up so it has been in the same family for over 25+ years that I know of, and the interior has always been the same. It's quite quaint and at night with candles lit and water views, and with the resident piano man playing it can be rather relaxing.
We didn't settle for the $6 lunch but went for the Fish of the Day with salad and chips for $10! What a bargain, the fish was Red Emperor and was absolutely one of the best fish meals I have ever had. A glass of port each on the house accompanied the bill, very unusual in the middle of the day but hey, it's not your usual restaurant:))
PS I didn't have my camera so took this with D's iphone.
