white water

I did what could become a regular detour this morning (now that my NTS sticker gets me free parking at Elterwater). Strangely the first thing I saw on leaving the car park was the big orange truck (featured in a previous blip) about to cross the narrow bridge.

A bit further upstream Great Langdale Beck was looking very impressive after all the rain. I took some shots from the footpath but then bravely slid scrambled down to the water's edge from where this pic was taken.

Hitting the road early tomorrow, so signing off for several days. Should be back on Sunday with a few back blips.
