Railway Pier, Oban

Last day in Oban. Haven’t actually been in town that much this visit, so nice to have a walk round the harbour this afternoon. In the gloom. This is the railway pier where the CalMac Ferries dock, as well as fishing boats like the Orion. She was built in 1991 at Barton on Humber, and her tonnage is 7.5.

Further along the pier is a wondrous little green shack selling seafood . Don’t be fooled by the vans parked at this end, for the real taste of Oban, wander on a bit.

Kerrera and Mull in the background.

We'll be travelling home over a few days, not sure where my next wifi will be, but back early next week at the latest.
