West Street, Midhurst

These are just some of the attractive buildings in the old part of Midhurst. The date and initials are intriguing, though I’ve looked in every local history book I’ve come across. Even Pevsner only mentions ‘old buildings with the date 1660’. It will have to remain a mystery for now.
