Or boiled ham hock French style.
I don't know why I made this, except that they sold 'hough' on North Uist and so I bought a smoked one to bring home and it has been waiting in the freezer until the muse was with me.
Just tried that piece and it has a nice blend of parsley, tiny pieces of gherkin and good tender meat.
Cost about £3!
