Chicken Soup

My second pot of chicken soup of the week. I am placing a great deal of hope in its restorative powers.

It's wet and windy, but the heating is on, the washing is hanging up to dry and bedtime is on the horizon.

I do love this time of year - there is nothing subtle about it. You know what you are going to get. Big colours, big skies, change. But these buds on my desk remind me it will change again, sooner than we think.

A most splendid parcel arrived today!
