The year after my first marriage ended, I was determined to make Christmas a success. Indeed, I think this was the year that I fell properly in love with Christmas. And because I didn't want anything to go wrong, I had all my Christmas shopping done by the end of October. (And this was before proper online shopping!)

These days, I'm a tad more relaxed although there's still no last minute shopping, apart from accompanying my brother to do his on Christmas eve. This parcel, which arrived today, was the first thing I've ordered for this Christmas, although I do already have a little something that I bought at the Lowry stashed away upstairs for my brother. I'm hoping to be all done by the end of November.
