Judging Images
Ambling Camera’s Mistress Robyn and I spent this afternoon at the A & P Association Park. The Annual Show starts tomorrow and Robyn and I were judging the images for the annual photographic competition. There was a lot going on at the headquarters. Folk were turning up with food for the baking competition, sewing items for other competitions. It was a very busy spot to be in.
Robyn and I started working at 2.pm and finished well after 6.pm. We had a good system going, one we had worked to when we judged the photography competition this time last year. We had Nicky, our steward, assisting us and Robyn did all the typing up of our comments as we went. There was a high standard of photography on display this year. Images from the rural schools were outstanding. We have some up and coming talented photographers in our community.
We finished off the day’s work by transferring the typed comments to my big computer at home and then doing a final edit before printing it all out. I will drop off the papers tomorrow morning. Phew….Thank you Robyn and Nicky for a very productive afternoon. The three of us made an excellent team.
