By Himself

Cold light

An unexpectedly good day weather-wise with changing light conditions and not too much wind.

This shot is taken further out on a small promontory near here. It is reached across a narrow isthmus made of a bank of pebbles between two small bays.

A bit of an adventure today because while I was taking this, the cattle I thought were safely corralled in a field, made their way across to a gate blocking my narrow escape route. Some quite frisky young and bouncy brown bullocks amongst very large heifers who weren't keen to move. So I tried to be assertive and wave a stick while trying to make those noises farmers make when moving the herd. They weren't too impressed with my impersonation but eventually loped off lazily - except for one who stood staring at me over her shoulder before eventually joining the others.

So, dear blippers, I hope you think the picture was worth risking life and limb for!

PS - I am having problems with screen calibration - anyone have any advice about those gizmos that can help set up the display properly?
