Autumn tones and smoke, Borrowdale

Thank you all for your wonderful comments, stars and faves on my star shot yesterday, which pushed it to the top spot in Spotlight! I never expected that at all!

Weather was forecast to be reasonable today, so we headed to Borrowdale - the wettest part of the country. Guess what ... it rained! But the rain did a great job in bringing out the colours in the leaves, so it wasn't all bad, although the walk around Johnnies wood got turned into a walk through woodland as it got heavier.

I liked this detail of the trees on a hillside, and particularly liked the smoke drifting through the trees from a bonfire.

All produced some really great pics though.
