My doctor's surgery is next door to Dunedin School which is now housed in a building associated with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Liberton Bank House is one of the few remaining 18th-century cottages located in southern Edinburgh and was restored before the school moved in.

The wooden statue in the garden was carved from an old sycamore tree by a local artist and is an eye catching sight when the light strikes it as it did this morning.
