Laurie Lee or Meryl Streep?

It was a choice between the Cobb at Lyme Regis or cider making in Somerset.

The former was not as stormy as in the French Lieutenant's Woman although a good breeze was blowing so much so there were surfers out on the waves.

The latter was more unique. As we arrived the aroma of crushed apples filled the air as cider making was in progress. Mounds of apples were washed, ground down and the juice extracted and the pulp gathered for feed. Some fascination old machinery to inspect although the moden processes save on the intense labour. Also interesting to sample the wide varieties of flavours of the finished product. Shame I was driving as the samples would have been much more than the tiniest of thimblefuls!
