Resting Spot
I watched this white-breasted nuthatch for quite a while as it went up and down the tree. These little birds usually hunt for insects heading downward and unlike their tree-clinging counterparts do not use their tails to steady themselves. This one finally decided to rest in the nook of the tree. I took advantage and was able to capture this blip. Today it was overcast and cool and right now there is a weather alert stating snow covered and slick roads for this evening. Hopefully, the roads will be clear by morning.
