I'm a Birdwatcher!

So many gulls, who knew?

When I got my trusted field guide out to identify this gull, I was surprised to see so many different ones. This one is called a Ring-billed Gull, aptly named because of the ring around its' bill. And here I thought it was just another 'seagull'. Apparently this variety is less common than the more prevalent Herring Gull.
Today it turned sunny in the afternoon and it was glorious. After volunteering at a local food pantry, we took a drive to the bay and basked in it's splendor. Then, when we got home, I saw some action on the lake. Ducks frolicking about, took some photos but too far away to identify. It's Friday, enjoy the weekend!
