Inspiring
This mornining my journey into Edinburgh was accompanied by blue sky and sunshine. I felt refreshed after a good night's sleep so I was ideally placed to appreciate that I was free of the umbrealla which has been my constant companion for the last couple of weeks. My extended upwards view also meant I was better able to enjoy the beautiful architecture and skylines the city has to offer.
St Georges Church on Shandwick Place is inspiring (not just for it's spire <groan>) as an example of what in Edinburgh we often consider "ordinary". We are spoiled by the great monumental architecture of the castle, cathedrals and galleries. I think it is a rather impressive building by any standard.
