Remains of a Festival

The Edinburgh Festivals season officially ended with the fireworks at the weekend but the remenants cling to lamppost and advertising hoardings all over the town. It's rather poignant in some ways, but after the briefest of interludes the city will spring back to life next week with the return of the student population for a new term. Teviot Row House already has a huge "Freshers Week" banner strung across the front.
