Olde Inn's No 1

Well, i am back in the land of the living. J went for his flu jab ( a bit like shutting the door after the horse had gone ) and we needed to do a grocery shop. We went really down market and went to the Co- operative. We weren't very impressed, so i doubt we will be going there again. Anyway, on the way back and still needing a blip we came back through Cefn Cribwr, and then down through Laleston. I stopped and took this photo of the Laleston Inn. It is just North of the church, and directly fronting the street, which is Wind Street. The building is circa 1600, and used to be called a country club to allow for licensing laws, now it is a public house and restaurant. J and i used to go there regularly as it is a nice walk in Summer. It needs a lot of money spent on it now and looks very sad. View the sign outside in large. It depicts a lady in white carrying a lamp and looks quite spooky. There is a sign outside, saying the present occupiers will be moving to new premises in 2014. I have decided to blip a few of our local pubs during the next few weeks, as there some interesting ones in our area.
