The secretive Water Rail

Lovely day - unfortunately Soloh was working in the morning so I had arranged to go to the Lossie estuary and the Spynie hide with a friend. We had a great morning with lots of Godwits, Redshank and Wigeon at Lossie but unfortunately no Water Rail (Rallus aquaticus) at Spynie but plenty of other action. After lunch Soloh and I went back to Spynie and got the shot we wanted and several others as well. The evening ended with the starlings murmurising in the sunset! A blip for another day maybe.
