Clouds over the Square

This was central Fishguard at mid-afternoon as I waited for the bus. I'd had to take Fred to the vet again after turf wars with a neighbouring cat meant he came home with a limp and a lump. The waiting room was fuller than I'd ever known and it was 90 minutes before we were seen.

Alternating bursts of sunshine and showers produced a sky that looked as if bundles of cotton wool and armfuls of cushions had been piled high all around the horizo. Ice cream castles, feather canyons - Joni Mitchell said it so well many years ago and she turned 70 yesterday.
