Rhythm Time

Eva had a very late night last night, the little monkey. So was very tired this morning. She fell asleep in the car on the way to Rhythm Time, and stayed asleep whilst I got her out of the car and inside, then fell asleep again in the car on the way home.

It was lovely to be back at Rhythm Time. A different venue to last time but just as nice, if not nicer. Eva was in her element as usual. I just absolutely love watching her at things like Rhythm Time, watching her facial expressions, looking where she looks, trying to see it through her eyes. It makes me feel so proud. We sang hello to RatATat and Arabella, the doll, Eva shook the maracas, I tickled her face, nose, chin and hands with the feathers and let them fall slowly down to the floor in front of her. We all sat round the big sheet of Lycra and bounced the balloons up and down, Eva sat on my lap whilst we did the arm and leg exercises to the music, she banged on the drum, felt all the textures of the fabrics in the texture box. She looked in wonder as they turned the lights off and walked round the babies with the flashy light toys, she was mesmerised.

I wasn't sure if she'd go back to sleep in her bed once she'd woken up from falling asleep in the car, but after a milk feed, she was out for the count, and had a lovely sleep.

My dad called round again in the afternoon for a coffee and to see Eva, who was up and having a good roll around on her mat with her toys by that time, and saying "bababababababaa" that she's been saying a lot more lately. She even silent mouths it when she's not saying it out loud. So cute.

Just generally had a lovely day xxx
