The Peace Pagoda
Milton Keynes is a new town which was only conceived in 1967. Because it is built on an American 'Grid System' with roundabouts at every interchange, and because early in its life it commissioned a sculpture of a herd of cows commonly known as the 'Concrete Cows', it tends to be the butt of jokes in the media, particularly (I suspect) from people who have never been there. Like anywhere else, there are some grotty bits but there is actually a lot to like about the place, so I have decided to Blip an occasional series "Beautiful Milton Keynes". This is Number 1 in the series, and shows the peace Pagoda at Willen Lake, sited next to the Buddhist Temple.
