Now, as I see it......

Tickford Bridge

When Milton Keynes was developed, it encompassed the existing towns of Bletchley, Stony Stratford and Newport Pagnell along with numerous small villages, but it was designed in such a way that all of them have retained their identity. This bridge in Newport Pagnell is the second in my series of Blips "Beautiful Milton Keynes"; it was built in 1810 and is the only cast iron bridge in Britain that still carries main road traffic and the oldest iron bridge in the world still in constant use. A few years ago it was strengthened using carbon fibre which has ensured that it can stay in full use for many years to come.
