Meeting with Apollo - in garden centre

Visited our local garden centre today for the last day of their end of season sale.
While there I met Elizabeth Marriott from Falkirk holding Apollo, a barn owl.

Most Sunday these birds of prey from the Clyde Valley Birds of Prey are there for visitors to handle – for a small sum of money. And that’s where I stepped in and grabbed my blip pic for the day. Unfortunately the bird was distressed because there was a dog nearby with some children and it was keen to sniff the owls.

I am fascinated by the relationship people have with birds of prey and I have some short videos up on Youtube.
