The Haer Stone
Dumped here over 10, 000 years ago from a shrinking glacier this rock sits as the centrepiece of the village's War Memorial. Plaques have just been attached to it to commemorate and remember the local servicemen who lost their lives in both World Wars.
After being left for many years untended and deteriorating it's good to see the place receiving this timely facelift.
And it was nice to spend some quiet time wandering around here in the chilly last rays of the sunshine.
