Wagging Tails in Heaven

There will be tails wagging in heaven today. A little angel has joined the other sweet puppies and various other pets that are there.

There are no guarantees in life. I am sad to say that goes for our pets as well. Today we lost our puppy Tessa to some freaky congenital issues that we were not aware of and complications that would have made her life an unhappy and unhealthy one.
I feel lucky to have had the time with Tessa that we did have. I think she gave us as much happiness as we tried to give her. She was the oldest puppy at the store that day we found her and I felt like if we did not take her, perhaps nobody would have. Therefore, even though it was not for long, I feel like we gave her lot of fun and joy that she might not have had if we did not find her and rescue her from that awful crate she spent her days and nights.
Tessa was not ‘just a dog.’ She had so much spunk and endless energy and made us very happy. It will be hard to replace her. It is always harder on us humans when it comes to losing a pet since we inevitably outlive them. Yet our time with them, no matter how short, makes our lives better.
