Amboise

Today's cycle run was north to Amboise with its famous chateau and a smaller Chateau Du Clos Luce in which Leonardo da Vinci spent his last years. We toured his bedchamber and study and saw some of his inventions which have been recreated from his drawings using materials from the period. His Lordship and I also had the time to sit outside in a cafe and people watch. It's always interesting to guess nationalities...... unfortunately we always manage to recognise the British tourists!
On the way back to Loches, we had a degustation at a local vineyard........ enough said!
