Unplanned

It was supposed to be a nice relaxing weekend of doing nothing much other than baking the xmas cake.

It was a very nice weekend but not exactly relaxing… spent most of it rushing around doing interesting stuff. Catching up with folk and going to excellent concerts* that I hadn't planned to go to.

In between all this I managed to burn the xmas cake!**

* I realised half way through the concert that this would have been the perfect opportunity to take a photo of a stranger, sadly the camera was at home watching the cake burn.

** Hopefully manage to salvage it by some judicious pruning… we'll have to wait until xmas to see if it's got a bit of caramelised flavour all the way through.
