It was John's pins and badges which first attracted me to him, whilst he window shopped in the Victoria Quarter this afternoon.

He told me how he came by some of them through his charitable work, it included things like Blood Donation and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

He came across as a warmhearted individual and I would have liked to chat to him a bit more but he cut me short as he had to go.

Though I wouldn't have guessed, John is a civil engineer by trade.
