Blue Monday

What a bloody awful Monday that was.

Audrey and I are still ill so it was another (paid...grrrr) day off nursery and no (paid) work for me. Angus stepped in this morning and looked after her whilst I went to a meeting I couldn't cancel.
The meeting turned out to be a pointless one which was just typical!

Then with a cracking headache and sore throat, I realised I'd forgotten my purse. I couldn't pay for my car park and was stuck in town. In my sorry state, it just about ended me. A kind car park attendant took pity on me.

Then it was a handover with Angus. Had to spend the afternoon ignoring client calls and emails which was horrible.

Took Audrey out for a walk on the deserted, damp streets (see pic) of Chorlton. There wasn't a soul around, except for other Mums and rain-covered pushchairs. It's funny how we are all still pounding the streets, regardless of the weather. It's that or stay indoors with tetchy toddlers. Sometimes the cooling rain on your face is almost a tonic.
