With All Suns Blazing

Ok there is only one but give me some latitude, it's been a long day. A really long day.

More swimming around in the deep end, trying to find out why something that has nothing to do with us has broken. It was quite frustrating.

And then just as I thought about leaving, the phone rang and it was another problem in another area that's got nowt to do with us. Found out why that one went bang quite quickly - someone once said to me "don't believe what people tell you over the phone*, get in there and actually see what's going on."

Solid advice that. Especially when you've only been given half the info you need, and the other half that you find, provides the answer. Makes writing the "I've fixed your Problem" E-Mail that much sweeter.

Looking forward to tomorrow, maybe someone's got a runny nose that needs blowing or a lace that needs tying. I know I'm looking forward to the meeting about the 1st Problem where people are going to sit around and ask "And how can you stop this happening again Peter?" My answer will be something like "I can't, I enjoy the stress and irritating you all so much**."

* Most people you can believe, but not when it's about computery problems.
** I won't say that, I'll say "ich mache nichts anders, ich werde dir dein Leben zur Hölle machen". Or something much nicer.
