Cranes Circling

Thousands of them over Wiesbaden today. This group caught a thermal and were swirling up into the sky. Hence some caught by the sun and some still in shadow. Awesome stuff.

Much better than my day. To be fair, it started off on the wrong foot.

I was woken by G who told me it was 7:30. This is not good as it meant I'd not heard the alarm (set for just before 7). So I jumpedgot out of bed as enthusiastically as alwayslike a grumpy hippo, went downstairs, fed the cats, had a shower, made my breakfast, got dressed and went to work.

Where I arrived at 20 past 7. Some may call it time travelling, others, myself included, will look with some suspicion at an alarm clock with a death wish. To be fair, its battery was giving up the ghost and it was probably just randomly showing times to anyone who pressed a button.

Anyway it was a prelude to a day of madness. People phoning me with weird problems. All of them urgent. All of them requiring answers from just out of my comfort zone.

Except I've never really had a "comfort zone". It's always been more of a war zone.

Still, I survived and learnt a few things along the way.

Tonight, I will be doing nothing. But lots of it and right up until bedtime.

So, have a look at the cranes in big. Lose yourself in them. I will.
