Remember Remember

Up & out at the crack of dawn this morning for a long & very well travelled day. I headed to Glasgow for my initial interview in order to volunteer at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
From the fleeting experience I had of the city, it looked very beautiful & part of me did have my fingers crossed for success.
The interview itself was much more difficult than the one I had for London. Those questions like: give an example of a challenge you have recently faced & how you overcame it..
It is very difficult for me to say whether I looked like a floundering fool or whether I made an impression.
One thing, whether this could be considered good or bad-I had to do a double take on my ID photo because I was "too smiley". I don't mean to sound like cocky but loads of people seemed really miserable & unapproachable & practically no-one in my group had previous experience or volunteered n London.
It's a hard one to call... I'll find out in the new year...

Today would have also been my paternal Granddad's 106th birthday. I will eternally have fond memories of standing by his side experiencing childhood excitement of bonfires & the magic of sparklers.
